The Friday quote follow-up sweep.
Before you finish the week, find every quote that is sitting in limbo and give it a next action. This takes 15 minutes if you keep it simple.
Use five columns: customer, job, quote value, last contact, next action.
If any open quote has no next action, it is relying on memory. That is where jobs leak.
The 15-minute sweep
- Open your sent quotes, messages, email, and job notes.
- Write down every quote that has not clearly been won, lost, or booked.
- Mark anything older than 3 days as follow-up due.
- Send one short message per open quote.
- Set the next action: call, book, resend quote, close lost, or check again next week.
Three copy-paste messages
Soft nudge: Hi {Name}, just checking you received the quote for {Job}. Happy to answer questions or adjust timing if needed.
Decision check: Hi {Name}, quick follow-up on the {Job} quote. Are you still looking to book it in, checking other quotes, or leaving it for now?
Close the loop: No stress either way. Should I keep this open for next week, or close it off for now?
